Come Celebrate Arbor Day with the City of Lancaster
Lancaster, TX – Come join the City of Lancaster at the 2011 Arbor Day Celebration. This event will be held on Thursday, April 28, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The celebration will allow children and adults an opportunity to learn how the conservation and preservation of trees can work toward the beauty and health of community neighborhoods.
Participants will enjoy the Lancaster High School Jazz Band and a Master Naturalist will share information on the best ways to plant and nurture trees in your yard and community. Attendees will also have an opportunity to celebrate the City of Lancaster’s receipt of the 2011 Tree City USA Growth Award honor marked with a presentation of the Tree City USA flag and certificate for the fifth consecutive year. A free sapling will be given to those in attendance.
This program is open to the public and the event will be held at 1700 Veterans Memorial Parkway at the Lancaster Community Park. For additional information about this event, please contact Jodi Griggs at 972-218-2304.
