Charles “Chuckie” Stroop, 31, (pictured in the blue shirt and white tie), was presented with his “lifelong dream”  by becoming an honorary Marine surrounded by family and friends  Saturday, April 2 in Glenn Heights.  Since being born premature, Stroop, a ‘99 Red Oak High School graduate, has had to endure a life of disability.  “Chuckie just recovered from  his 13th brain surgery replacing a shunt in his head to drain off fluid to his brain,” said his mom, Denise Stroop.
