Ellis County Sheriff Unit assists Ferris PD in drug arrest

FERRIS – The Ellis County Special Investigation Unit responded to the 400 block of South Henrietta Street on Friday, March 25 to assist Ferris Police Department with a search warrant for a large amount of drugs.
Upon entering the residence, the unit, FPD and patrol deputies discovered 6.1 grams of an off-white powdery substance.
A field test conducted with a Valtox reagent showed the substance found tested positive for cocaine.
Roberto Lozano Torres, 47, was arrested on manufacture deliver of a controlled substance penalty group more than four grams less than 200 grams.
Torres’ bond was set at $30,000 and is currently sitting in Ellis County Jail.
