Lancaster participates in statewide warrant roundup initiative
LANCASTER– On Saturday, March 5, 2 the city of Lancaster Municipal Court will be participating in the Annual Statewide Warrant Roundup Initiative with more than 200 other participating jurisdictions in Texas. This program is designed to target hundreds of outstanding defendants, encouraging them to clear their warrant before arrest.
The Municipal Court will open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. to accommodate individuals with unresolved warrants. Prior to incarceration, defendants will be given full opportunity to pay their outstanding fines with Lancaster officials. Defendants may render payment with cash or credit card at the Municipal Court the morning of March 5. “We look forward to the success of this program and the chance to allow individuals to settle their affairs outside of court”, stated the Interim Court Administrator Kristy Hill.
People who believe they may have an outstanding warrant are advised to contact Lancaster Municipal Court staff at 972-218-1334 or visit their location at 220 W. Main Street. Fines may also be paid online at www.trafficpayment.com by selecting the city of Lancaster.
