The 83rd Annual Awards Ceremony is upon us, the event will be held, Thursday, Feb. 24, 7p.m. at the beautiful Waxahachie Civic Center, upon enjoying a fantastic steak catered by Applebee’s you will be enlightened by the many fine businesses and individuals who will receive special awards.
The Academy Awards for Waxahachie is one not to miss. A grand night awaits you. The awards presented will include the Outstanding Citizen of the Year along with:
Individuals who with countless volunteer hours, commitment, and willingness to serve will receive this award. Through their actions and goodwill this person truly embodies the Ambassador spirit.
Mabel Frame Award
Representative of the name this business or individual has made a positive impact on the tourism industry of Waxahachie.
This individual, an alumnus of Leadership Waxahachie has provided significant, effective community service for the purpose of improvement and is a community role model who shows an unselfish commitment to helping others. This person has met existing challenges and accepted new; explored non-traditional opportunities for our community; broadening their horizon to include new goals.
Marvin E. Singleton, Jr. Environmental Beautification Award
Promote beautification efforts on a personal or business effort whereby encouraging new development.
Non-Profit Organizational of the Year Award
This award will be presented to a non-profit who went above and beyond the call of duty in the field of non-profit association. This organization made a difference whereby benefiting the entire community.
Small Business of the Year Award
Financial performance and business history, staff training and motivation, community involvement and customer service were all factors in selecting this award winner.
This award recognizes fast growing “small” companies in Waxahachie. The award recipient must be a member of the Chamber with fewer than 150 employees, have been in operation for at least three full years, and started the business in Waxahachie. In addition, the recipient has demonstrated job creation, economic strength, and workplace quality and community involvement.
Business of the Year Award
Supports and participates in community and philanthropic activities that benefit the community at large. This award winner balances the goals of the corporation and the needs of the community and customers it serves.
Industry of the Year Award
This award winner is respected by employees and peers and seen as a role model in the industry. Encourages and supports responsible business practices including ethical, environment stewardship, equal opportunity employment, work/life balance, and provides leadership in the industry.
Chair’s Special Award
This award is selected by the volunteer Chair whereby they acknowledge an individual or business that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist the Chair in obtaining their goals and objectives.
