$12,500 reward offered in Vintage Bank robbery
AUSTIN - A $12,500 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and indictment of the individual responsible for the Friday, Oct. 15 armed robbery at the Vintage Bank on the 300 block of Highway 77 in Waxahachie.
The robbery last October left two female bank tellers bound in zip ties and forced by gunpoint into the bank’s vault.
According to Waxahachie Police Department, they believe the same robber might have hit a North Richland Hills Wells Fargo the previous week. Thursday, Jan. 6, the Texas Bankers Foundation, in cooperation with the WPD and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, offered the additional $2,500 in reward money to be added to the $10,000 reward offered by Vintage last year.
The Texas Bankers Foundation is offering this reward in an effort to deter criminal acts against Texas commercial banks and their employees.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’ 10" and completely clad in black, clothing including a mask, gloves and fedora hat.
Anyone with information concerning this robbery should contact the WPD Criminal Investigation Division at 972-937-9940.
