TXA 21 IMPROVES SIGNAL STRENGTH WITH NEW TRANSMITTER AND ANTENNA
Viewers Using Antennas Need to Re-Scan on Jan. 14
Dallas/Fort Worth – In order to improve reception for North Texas television viewers who use antennas, TXA 21 will begin transmitting a stronger, wider signal beginning Friday, Jan. 14 at noon.
Cable and satellite TV subscribers should not be affected and do not need to take any action. However, viewers who receive their television signals via antennas will need to re-scan their converter boxes and/or digital TV tuners on Jan. 14 to receive the new signal on channel 21-1.
“We’re excited to provide a stronger signal for our viewers, particularly those who have had reception issues since the transition to digital television,” said CBS 11/TXA 21 President and General Manager Gary Schneider. “We believe this upgrade will be welcomed most of all by those viewers who live outside the metro area, especially those east of Dallas-Fort Worth.”
TXA 21 employees will be available Jan. 14 to answer any viewer questions and provide technical assistance at 877-TEXAS-11.
TXA 21 is online at CBSDFW.com.
