Second time a miss; Dollar General burglarized again
FERRIS - The safe deposit box was targeted once again at the Dollar General store on S. Central Street.
Around 2:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, Ferris Police Officer Chris Ellis was patrolling the streets when he discovered a burglary had occurred.
Later on, according to Police Chief Sam Love, it was discovered the burglars were interrupted by Ellis and were not able to get into the store’s safe deposit box.
In April, Dollar General’s safe was stolen with $1,500 inside.
Video of one of the suspects shows him breaking into the office and disabling the alarm and video system.
Prior to him disabling the system, he was recorded on video.
According to Love, "He is believed to be a white male wearing blues jeans, a black hoodie jacket with red stripes on the sleeve cuffs and shoulders, brown shoes or boots and a black mask."
A $500 reward is available for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

Maybe he did not interrupt them because he was too busy harassing the citizens of Ferris....Talk around town is not favorable of this Officer....
