ELLIS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS’ COURT

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the Ellis County Commissioners’ Court will be held on Monday, 

November 22, 2010 at   6:00 P.M., in the Historic Ellis County Courthouse, Commissioners’ Courtroom (2^nd flr), 101 W.Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas at which time the following will be discussed and considered, to-wit:

A3       Consideration and action to reimburse Jeremy Baker in the amount of $228.20 for out-of-pocket expenses related to an alleged wrongful arrest in exchange for a full and final release of all claims.

ADMINISTRATIVE

2.1         Consideration and action to enter into a five year extended warranty agreement with Schindler Elevator Corporation for service and maintenance of the five active Schindler elevators located in the new Courts Building.

2.2       Consideration and action to place the following vehicles on the list of authorized vehicles that are allowed to display regular exempt plates:  1) 2010 Chevy Tahoe vin # 1GNMCAE00AR223344,  

2)  2011 Chevy pick-up vin #3GCPCPEA3BG175549.

2.3       Consideration and action as may be appropriate regarding the upgrade of three Precinct #3 road worker positions (1) from $16.70 to $18.12 (road worker VI to heavy equipment operator); (2) from $15.50 to $16.70 (road worker IV to road worker VI); and from $13.00 to $15.50 (road worker III to road worker IV).  This action is due to the loss of the heavy equipment operator.

2.4       Consideration and approval regarding Inter-local Contract Agreement with Maypearl ISD and Ellis County Road and Bridge, Pct. 3.

RECESS TO CONVENE TO EXECUTIVE SESSION 

EXECUTIVE SESSION     

“The Commissioners’ Court of Ellis County reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed in this agenda, in the order deemed appropriate, as authorized by Texas Government Code 551, or to seek the advice of its attorney and/or other attorneys representing Ellis County on any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the Commissioners’ Court under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Texas Government Code Chapter 551 or as otherwise may be permitted under 551.”

3.1       Pursuant to Section 551.072 of the Government Code, consultation with counsel regarding the                 possible sale or lease of real property   “if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental             effect on the position of the governmental body in negotiations with a third person.”
