Caught up

The term “Rapture” is not found in God’s word, therefore, in these teachings we will not use the term “Rapture” unless writing about conjectures, we will use the proper term, “caught up”. There has always been question, when will the body of Christ be caught up? This article will make clear the time in which this takes place. So take a seat, be alert and be ready we are not going anywhere (caught up) until all things have been fulfilled.

The teachings of man’s interpretation of God’s word have deceived many teaching the “Rapture” will take place prior to the tribulation period; prior to any Christian suffering at the hand of the beast and prior to any Christian given an ultimatum concerning a mark of the beast. These pre-tribulation “Rapture” teachings are not found in God’s word.

On the contrary, God’ word tells us Christians are going to suffer and we must be prepared. During these soon coming times unless we abide in Jesus Christ we will be deceived and overtaken. As a believer, our overcoming power is by the blood of Jesus Christ, by the Spirit of God and by our obedience to God. When tribulation comes and if we do not deny his name, we will die for the cause.

To understand God’s the time of the event, we must first understand 1st Thessalonians 4:14-16, these verses explain what will take place but does not tell us when this event will take place.

“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus, will God bring with him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep” (1st Thessalonians 4:14-15).

This is clear; those that sleep in Jesus, Jesus will bring with him at his return, that is to say their soul. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first” (1st Thessalonians 4:16).

At this time, those in the grave are raised from the dead and re-united with their soul that Jesus brought with him. This takes place first, prior to the living being caught up with them. This is the resurrection of the dead; this is the first and only resurrection of the righteous. It is made clear at the sound of the trumpet, those that are dead in Christ shall rise “FIRST” and “THEN”; we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them. The word first and the word then separate these events. Only those that believe, only those that have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus, only those that have been born again, only those that walk in the righteousness of Christ, only those that have not received a mark of the beast, only those that do not follow the image of the beast and only those that have been faithful will partake in the first and only resurrection of the righteous.

Let’s review another scripture concerning the resurrection of the dead and transformation of the living. “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on in-corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on in-corruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory” (1st Corinthians 15:50-54). In other words, we will never die, death has been defeated. This verse of scripture does not mention being caught up with the Lord at this time but does make clear the resurrection of the dead and the transformation of the living.

It is also clear, we will no longer abide in our mortal flesh and blood bodies, not continuing in our present form, but changed into an immortal form, as was Christ at his resurrection, the first to be raised from the dead and the first to be transformed.

Now that we understand what will take place, now we will answer the question, when will it take place? There have been many teachings on the subject, many doctrines being established, scriptures being used and abused, theory’s, conjectures but nothing to lock in the time of when. The bible is also clear on this matter; when the resurrection takes place.

The first and only resurrection of the righteous does not take place until after the beast and false prophet are cast into the lake of fire; after Satan is bound for 1000 years; after all things have been fulfilled; and at the onset of the 1000 year millennial reign of Jesus Christ.

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Revelations 20:1-6).

The second resurrection is when all things give up the dead which is of the unjust, the lost, those that chose their own destiny by denying the only begotten Son of God, they that are not cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, they that do not walk in the righteousness of Christ, they that received the mark of the beast or followed after the image of the beast.

During the resurrection of the unjust, the books are opened and those not found in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire that burns forever and ever. This being said, it is also written in Revelation 3:5 reflecting those that fail to repent; their names could be blotted out of the book of life. Do we understand the seriousness of this matter?

Let us not play games with God and let us not play games with the eternal destiny of our soul. Let us repent, walk in holiness and be ready, I am almost certain none of us want to burn forever or desire our name to be blotted out of the book of life nor do we desire to partake of the second death. Let us understand, God will soon close the door of the Ark, grace will come to an end and all hope will be lost. Turn to God, pray, repent always and be ready, time is short, shorter than you think. Repent.
