Thoughts to Encourage (true unity)

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

"If I want my way and you want your way, there can never be unity. True unity comes when all parties agree God's will be done.  My friend, Vito Rallo said, 'We simply cannot sacrifice the truth of God's Word on the altar of unity (or for the sake of unity).' For two to walk together either the light (believer) has to agree with the darkness (unbeliever) or the darkness agrees with the light. I have never seen the darkness compromise with the light but have many times seen the light compromise with the darkness."

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Amos 3:3

2 Cor 6:14 " Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

I Jn 1:7 "But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."

Matt 15:14  "And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."

"Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."  Ephesians 4:1-3
