"Don't be like the children of Israel who wandered (to vacillate, reel, stray, stagger, err) in the wilderness for 40 years because of their rebellion and unbelief.  Quickly learn the lessons God has for you in the midst of your wilderness (circumstances) so that you will not be going around the same mountain year after year."

Geri McGhee

Num 32:13 "And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed."

Deu 2:7 "For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing."

Deu 4:1  "Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you."

1Co 10:1-14  "Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for an example for us: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry."

Heb 3:12 "Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. "

Heb 3:19 "So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. "

Heb 4:6-11 "Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

MAT 11:28-30  Jesus said, "COME unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST

TAKE MY YOKE (remove all other yokes) upon you, and LEARN of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find REST unto your souls. For MY YOKE is EASY, and my burden is LIGHT."

Pro 25:2 "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to SEARCH out a matter. "

Jer 33:3 "CALL unto me, and I will ANSWER thee, and SHOW THEE great and mighty things, which thou KNOWEST NOT."

Joh 8:31-32  "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF YE CONTINUE in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.  And ye shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and the truth shall make you FREE."

"He who neglects discipline despises himself, But he who listens to reproof (accepts God's discipline) acquires understanding (the truth that sets him free)."

 Proverbs 15:32

"Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths."

 Psalms 25:4
