Easter - why does the date change?

The Easter holiday moves each year because the actual Easter date is calculated by choosing the first Sunday after the full moon following the spring equinox.

A bit of Easter History

This was originally decided in the year 325AD, at the Council of Nicaea (present-day Iznik in Turkey). The great Roman Emperor Constantine assembled the early Christian

leaders from across Europe and the Middle East together to fix matters of doctrine and dates of important Christian events such as the date of the Easter (Ishtar) festival.

Since then Easter has been celebrated on this moving calendar.Final Note Added by Danny Hatfield:

Ishtar or Easter celebration was celebrated 2000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ and has nothing to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Ishtar/Easter is a pagan worship. This pagan day was celebrated 2000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, every year on the first Sunday after the full moon following the spring equinox

We must also understand that the resurrection day of Jesus Christ does not change from year to year and has nothing to do with the worship of Ishtar/Easter. The worship of other Gods is abomination to God.

Study the origin of the chicken, the rabbit and the egg used in the Easter celebration. These items coincide for Ishtar/Easter celebration 4,000 years ago but have nothing to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
