The American terrorist

Give ear, O My people, to My law: Incline your ears to the words of My mouth. I will open My mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done. Psalm 78:1-4

We have a generation of homegrown terrorists just waiting for their 15 minute claim to fame. Raised in dysfunctional families that are too busy to spend time parenting and mentoring their kids, they allow them to be trained by their peers, video games and TV.

In most cases even in what looks like a normal middle class family, the kids are totally neglected and subsequently rejected to oftentimes fend for themselves, and then left to their own devices. I know this because for more than 20 years I dealt with them in Christian rehabs and if I had it all to do over again I would have a "Super Max" lock down for parents.

America is home to thousands maybe even millions of drug addicts, alcoholics, child molesters, sex offenders, gang bangers, pimps, whores, murderers, rapists and even those who would become terrorists, not to mention the two million already incarcerated, ready to be released to wreak more havoc and mayhem on an unsuspecting population.

I have ministered to almost every category mentioned and have come to the conclusion that none of them would have been hopeless if they had been reached soon enough and been able to be healed of their pain that most suffered in their own family.

Many were raped and molested by their own parents, relatives or close family friends.

Left unattended to be defiled by someone they should have been able to trust.

One day in Sherman, Texas a woman dropped off a young lady with two infants and told me that her daughter was a drug addict and wanted us to take her into our program.

The women’s program that we directed was one year long and we didn’t charge for their stay, so I asked the lady if she would mind going down to the store and buy some diapers for the babies, you would have thought I was asking her for her Rolex!

She looked at me with an angry countenance and said, "You don’t understand, I have a plane to catch to Vegas."

That’s what I’m talking about, I can’t count the times that parents dumped their kids and expected us to "fix" them like a broken toy, just fix them and leave us alone, blaming it all on the kid, when in fact it was their own fault.

Dropped off like a bag of garbage to be left to sort through the mess and try and patch up the damage as best we could only to send them back to the same environment, and the cycle of abuse starts all over again.

Children that are raised in a loving home, nurtured and taught right and wrong have a much better chance of making it than those who are left to themselves and their friends to try and make it on their own.

For instance, where did you learn about sex, from your parents, or in the back seat of a car, or in a Playboy magazine?

Most experience it for the first time on their own with someone that ends up breaking their heart, making them pregnant, or gives them AIDS or some other sexually transmitted disease.

One Sunday I was called to a home where the parents suspected their teenage daughter of doing drugs. She had begun to act strange and wore nothing but black, Goth-like clothing. They asked me what I thought and I told them to search her room, they said they couldn’t because the door was locked. I

was amazed that she had them locked out of her room and her life, so I told them to break down the door and search her stuff.

When we entered the girl’s room the parents couldn’t believe their eyes, the room was painted solid black and she had an altar with a skull in it where she was worshiping Satan. Needless to say they had their work cut out for them! Kids cannot raise themselves, they cannot make right decisions without parental guidance, and much patience to see it through. They cannot be left alone or left to their peers or the Internet, a very dangerous place where they can learn anything they want, whether good or evil.

We have lost many of the past generations to the powers of darkness and evil and have felt the effects of what neglect can do when left unchecked, if it feels good do it, Women’s Lib and the Hippie movement of the sixties with it’s flower power and free love corrupted a nation. The sins of the fathers are starting to manifest in the youth of America and the worst is yet to come.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

God established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they would make them known to their children; that the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children. Psalm 78:5,6

Because our fathers have not handed down the laws of God to their children we have a lost generation, without morals, and a conscience that has been seared over with the lust of the world. This new breed deal with their problems from what they have learned from hours of TV and violent video games. If something gets in their way or causes a problem, they kill it.

This message was inspired from the recent incident in Tucson where a boy obviously neglected by his parents planned a mass murder because of certain triggers set off in his brain. Planning this tragedy in his parents home right under their nose, Jared Loughner put into action what he had learned from the Internet by allowing the pain in his heart to guide his actions. The results were tragic.

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold of Columbine fame, planned their assault on their high school for a year before implementing one of the worst mass killings in American history. Their intent wasn’t just to kill those who hurt them or bullied them, or even to wound those that they didn’t like, they planned to kill thousands with guns and bombs to make a statement by attacking a symbol of American life. Miraculously the detonators on the propane bombs didn’t work sparing hundreds of innocent lives.

Timothy McVey another upstanding young American terrorist, veteran and activist came from a broken home when his parents divorced when he was ten, he was also bullied in school and who knows the pain and hatred hiding in his heart when he killed hundreds by bombing the Federal building in Oklahoma City. How could these young men carry out such diabolical plans in the comfort of their own middle class homes under their parents supervision?

I could go on and on but you can watch it unfold on the nightly news: gang bangers, drug cartels, children snatched and sold into prostitution and young terrorists planning more mayhem for America, and it’s budding into a garden of violence and murder because there are no fathers to pass down the precepts of God’s spiritual and moral law to these young neglected orphans. Kids don’t join gangs to be cool, they join up to belong to a family because they have been neglected by their own.

So what are your kids doing, are they being recruited into some demonic ideology, a cult, a gang or just planning another mass murder? If I were you I would be checking it out before its too late and you become front page news. Sex, drugs, violence, and witchcraft are all prevalent in America and most of the kids I dealt with were raised in church, totally neglected and sent to a youth group to be taken care of by a lost youth leader that was ultimately a baby sitter. May God have mercy!

That they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments; and may not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Psalm 78:7,8
