"How you have fallen from Heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, you who have weakened the nations!" Isaiah 14:12 NASB

Lucifer the great, arch angel of death and destruction, cast from Heaven like a rejected branch only to take root in the garden of God.

Once a son with all the glory of Heaven’s splendor, the shinning one who shielded God’s throne with his angelic body.

Full of wisdom, beauty and strength, Lucifer was a sight to behold!

One day while admiring himself pride began to enter him like a sharp sword filling his being with vanity, arrogance and selfish ambition.

This once great angelic majesty, son of God and family member of the angelic host began to fall into an evil pit of destruction that would eventually bestow upon him the title: "King of the Abyss," Abaddon, the destroyer.

Hell bent on destroying all of God’s creation and filled with pride and lust for power the great dragon was overpowered by the other arch angels and thrown out of Heaven with one third of the rebellious host that joined his band.

They were all evicted from their heavenly home, only to land in the beautiful garden of God where His first human son, Adam resided with his wife Eve.

For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Isaiah 14:13,14

SEVEN DEADLY SEEDS

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:9

Full of vengeance and hatred for God’s creation the mighty dragon landed in the beautiful garden of Eden to sow some of his evil seed. Satan planned on planting his own garden full of the deadly seeds of sin, just as Jesus warned us in the gospel of Matthew that the Devil sows tares in the midst of wheat.

On his very first encounter with man Satan sows his seed of pride into the woman’s mind while Adam looks on and convinces them both that God wanted them to be like Him, or in other words, to be their own god. Convinced of God’s will and totally unaware of the Devil’s deception they both took the bait and fell for the diabolical scheme and ate of the fruit.

Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will surely not die. "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:4,5

PRIDE

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Proverbs 8:13

Pride was the first evidence of evil to show itself in creation and evidently Lucifer was the first to give in to its temptation. As the scripture speaks, God hates it and proved it by casting one third of His sons out of Heaven and then creating hell for them to spend eternity in.

Satan planted the seed of pride in Adam and Eve and convinced them that they could be their own gods knowing good and evil and that they could lead their own lives apart from the Creator. A deadly mistake for anyone to think that he is greater and more capable than God to arrogantly strike out on his own without the divine guidance and care that He has for us.

"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6

LUST

But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed. Then, when lust has conceived it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. James 1:14,15

Adam and Eve were tempted to be like God and by eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they could attain their goal, or so they were told by the Devil. Sin is a seed planted in the minds of men, it begins with a thought and if not taken captive immediately it will begin to take root and grow.

When Eve saw that the fruit was good and pleasant to the eyes she assumed that God would want her to have it and so she ate. There are many things that look good to us but that does not mean God would want us to have them. Sin is in most cases pleasurable at first, but in the end often deadly.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not of the Father but is of the world. I John 2:15,16

REBELLION

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her and he ate. Genesis 3:6

Adam and Eve rebelled against God’s word and ate of the tree that He told them not to eat from. The Devil tempted them and they fell for his plan, ate the fruit and rebelled against their Creator; and so it is today, he uses the same scheme against us as he used against them, and in most cases it works.

Rebellion is the sin of witchcraft as stated in the word of God and it always leads a person to try and obtain something through means other than God. The outcome is always bad and leads one to be tormented by demons and in most cases leads to a premature death if not repented of. Adam and Eve learned the hard way by not obeying the voice of God that the sin of rebellion opens the door to many curses and hardships.

An evil man seeks only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger (demon ) will be sent against him. Proverbs 17:11

IDOLATRY

You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. Exodus 20:3-5

Adam and Eve worshiped the creature and not the Creator when they decided to rebel against the words of the Most High and become their own gods. Idolatry comes in many forms and today there are many idols to choose from. An idol is anything you give your allegiance or devotion to: time, money, hobbies, people or even your own spouse can become an obsession leading to idolatry.

God must have first place in your life and there can be no other gods or idols above Him. As His word says, He is a jealous God and will not tolerate the idolatrous worship of man. Within the heart of man there is a need to worship and Satan takes advantage of this God given need, tempting man to worship other things, neglecting the worship of the only true God.

But know this that in the last days perilous (stressful) times will come: for men will be lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! II Timothy 3:1-5

FEAR

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment (punishment). But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. I John 4:18

Adam and Eve hid themselves from the presence of God for fear of punishment for their sin. They did not understand His perfect love for them and His mercy and grace that could restore them; instead of running toward Him, they chose to run away. Fear always leads us away from faith, it is the opposite, and without faith it is impossible to please God.

No longer innocent, with their eyes opened because of sin and realizing their nakedness before God they fled in fear. Today man fears everything and his phobias are impossible to number, he fears disease, man and death and is always running from the only remedy for his sin: the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood, available to anyone who calls upon His name for mercy.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I Timothy 1: 7

LYING

You are of your father the Devil and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44

Lying is a sin we are born with, a generational curse that we as children use to protect ourselves when we disobey our parents, it is the very seed of Satan. When we get older we perfect our craft of lying, justifying our use of it as a tool of life, in other words we lie to gain an advantage, or to persuade someone that we are someone we are not. Today it is accepted behavior and we have divided it into categories such as white and black, the black of course is bad and the white is acceptable.

When God confronted Adam and Eve in the garden they both began to blame shift, a form of lying to shift the guilt over on someone else. The Devil made me do it! In all my years of dealing with drug addicts and criminals I have never seen a devil hold anyone down and shove a needle into their arm, nor have I seen the Devil make anyone do anything they didn’t want to. The only power the Devil has is to lie and tempt, the rest is up to us to choose either good or evil.

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. I John 2:3,4

BITTERNESS

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled. Hebrews 12:14,15

Satan’s garden was planted in the hearts of Adam and Eve and the last to be sown was bitterness. The word root literally means sharp point and when it touches the heart of man it releases a multitude of pain and suffering such as: unforgiveness, resentment, hatred, murder and rejection to name a few.

God’s first family had every right to be bitter, after all they were deceived, lied to, stripped of God’s glory, cursed, and locked out of their garden home. As rejection begin to take over and the reality of what happened to them set in the curse of sin was planted and ready to move down the bloodline of all humanity.

Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. Romans 5:18

WHATS IN YOUR GARDEN?

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19

God planted His garden in Eden and Satan planted his garden in man to defile and corrupt what the Creator had planned to be a perfect and sinless environment. Sadly the good ground that Jesus spoke of in the parable of the sower can also be sown with bad seed as the Devil proved by planting his seven deadly seeds of destruction.

Jesus came to free us from the generational effects of sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness by the shedding of His blood. We are all born in sin and in need of a Savior to wash us from the curse of Adam, planted by the Devil and carried by the demons infecting all of mankind with deadly seed!

You can be liberated today by being honest with God about your spiritual condition, confessing your sins to Him and by surrendering your life into His capable and loving hands. Today can be the day of your salvation or the day of your deliverance if you are already a Christian and you have been infected with sin and sickness. May the Lord Jesus Christ set you free from the bondage of sin and death and give you the free gift of eternal life!

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, having now been justified (pardoned) by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath (judgment) through Him.

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Romans 5:10
