The Ellis County Press: Hawks and Lady Hawks updates Hawks and Lady Hawks updates ================================================================================ Editor on 04/22/2010 15:50:00 Steve Patterson The Ellis County Press RED OAK - The Hawks baseball team traveled to Mabank on Tuesday, April 13 for another District matchup and handed Mabank, their sixth district loss of the year beating them 15-2. Winning pitcher was Travis Wallis. Hitting notes included doubles by Brandon McMillion and Brent Fletcher and a Homerun by Cody Alsup. The Hawks then traveled to Terrell to play a tough Tiger baseball team and picked up another huge district 7-4 win. With a loss by Forney last week, the Hawks have now moved into second place in District 15-4A. The Hawks will face district leading Mesquite Poteet on Friday, April 23 and it is also senior night. Please come out and support your Red Oak Hawks Baseball. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Buddy Groom field next to the new High School. The Lady Hawks traveled to Terrell on Tuesday, April 13 and faced a very good Lady Tigers team who has been playing everyone in the district very tough as of late. The Lady Hawks were able to come away with a 4-1 victory to improve their district record to 9-1 as of press time. The Lady Hawks hosted Mesquite Poteet on April 20 and it is also senior night.
