Kaufman shoots past Lady Yellow Jackets

FERRIS - Last Friday night the Lady Yellow Jackets basketball team traveled to
Kaufman to take on the Lady Lions.
Kaufman took off to a 15-7 lead after the first period and never looked back.
Kaufman kept the Lady Yellow Jackets struggling all game to make close shots.
With 5:50 left in the third period Kaufman had a commanding 37-14 lead.
By this point in the game, Ferris looked tired and at a loss against a Kaufman
team that was always on the move.
Due to a lack of Ferris covering their players and very little concentration
passing the ball, the third period ended with a Kaufman lead of 50-23.
Ferris would only score two points in the final period of player. As Ferris
continued to wear-out, Kaufman became increasingly physical running right
through players with no interference from the refs.
The Lady Yellow Jackets looked physically and mentally exhausted by the end of
the game taking another loss home, 56-25.
Ferris' top scorers were La Teisha Berry with nine points and Marissa Koetting
with seven points.
