Lady Hawks fall to West Mesquite

RED OAK - After nearly a month since their last home game, the Lady Hawks hosted
the West Mesquite Lady Wranglers on Dec. 6. With their star 6'-4" center Raquel
Dent (#30) not playing, it would be a tough night for the Lady Hawks in the
paint. Although sophomore Brianna Verdine (#22) played a great game in relief,
the Lady Wranglers owned the inside game most of the night.
The Lady Hawks made a good push late in the game lead by Bre Burks (#14) to get
close, but the Lady Wranglers responded with a run of their own and won the game
75-53.
On a good note, the JV Lady Hawks remained undefeated as they knocked-off the JV
Lady Wranglers.
