The Midlothian Lady Panthers Varsity Soccer team
started off their season last Friday night with a scrimmage against East Texas
rivals Longview Pine Tree at MISD Stadium in Midlothian. Midlothian began the
match on the attack, but a swift counter attack from Longview saw them open up
the scoring 1-0. Midlothian remained on the attack and found the back of the net
twice before half time. Midlothian remained on the attack in the second half,
but Pine Tree found their equalizer. The match went on to a shootout where
Midlothian came up short losing 2-1.
