WHS powerlifting team named regional champions

The Waxahachie Powerlifting Team recently won the Division 1 Region 3
Championship Meet Saturday, March 5. Qualifying for the state meet are: Pete
Rios, Larkin Alexander, Bryan Randall and Gennard Johnson. Qualifying as third
place alternates for the state meet are Craig Renfro, RJ Zavala, Dustin Upchurch
and Ben Davis. Yousef Muwaquet finished the scoring with a fifth place finish.
This year, the powerlifting team broke eight school records and won its second
Regional Championship.
