RED OAK - The 2011 Red Oak Youth Basketball season tipped off Saturday, Jan. 15.
The new league is directed by Coach Fred Gaines and overseen by the ROISD. Coach
Gaines works with five board members to make the league run as smooth as they
can.
Opening Saturday started with a few kinks, but by mid morning things were
rolling along. The main thing was that the kids were having fun and getting to
play a lot of basketball.
The league also plays other teams from the Waxahachie Youth Basketball
Association so the teams will have plenty of basketball games to play this
season.
