RED OAK - The Red Oak Lady Hawks hosted the district leading Mesquite Poteet
Lady Pirates on Friday, Jan. 14.
The Lady Hawks kept the game close and by halftime were only down by six points.
In the third period, the Lady Hawks came out and quickly scored six unanswered
points to tie the game.
The third period belonged to the Lady Hawks as the outscored the Lady Pirates
24-13, but as well as they played in the third, it was just the opposite in the
fourth.
The Lady Hawks were outscored 2-1 in the fourth as the Lady Pirates came back to
win the game 62-58 to stay atop District 15-4A girls basketball.
The sub-varsity teams didn’t fare any better.
The JV and freshman girls both lost their games too.
