The Ellis County Press: Peggy Ann Baker Peggy Ann Baker ================================================================================ Editor on 06/17/2010 10:34:00 Jan. 9, 1950 - June 6, 2010 WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Peggy Baker, 60, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Waxahachie Funeral Home. Born Jan. 9, 1950 in Fort Hood, the daughter of Cohen Spears and Katie Ryno, she passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at home surrounded by family. She worked at Marvin Elementary School and loved working with the children. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Baker and stepdaughter Tina Nash; she is survived by her daughters Tammy Crandall and husband Tim of Midlothian and Denice Mixon and husband Phil of Kemp; son Cohen Baker (Bear) and fiancée Kimberly Biggs of Waxahachie; stepchildren Tina Nash, Terry Smith, Larry Baker, Gene Baker Jr., Teddy Baker and Alvis Baker; sisters Pat Scharschell and husband Frank of Missouri, Tricia Spurlock of Crandall and Linda Spears of Alabama; brother Cohen Butch Spears and wife Patsy of Missouri; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Interment followed in the Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
