WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Felix Alvarado Jr., 87, were held at 2 p.m.
Friday, May 2 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Born May 12, 1920 in San Marcus, the son of Felix and Paulina Alvarado, he
passed away Monday, April 28, 2008.
He served his country in the US Air Corp in World War II.
He married Avarista Longoria April 24, 1944 in Beeville.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Avarista Alvarado; four daughters Rosie
Hernandez and husband Ramon of Dallas, Eva Mendoza and husband Lawrance of
Dallas, Lupe Perez and husband Matilde of Waxahachie and Virginia Martinez and
husband Juan of Waxahachie; seven sons Felipe Alvarado and wife Pat of
Midlothian, Thomas Alvarado and wife Juanita of Waxahachie, Frank Alvarado and
wife Lupe of Ennis, Joe Alvarado and wife Nora of Waxahachie, Johnny Alvarado
and wife Becky of Ovilla, Julio Alvarado and wife Gloria of Ennis and Jessie
Alvarado and wife Maria of Irving; 47 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Waxahachie City Cemetery under the direction of
Waxahachie Funeral Home.
