Ruth Martin, 84 of Seagoville passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2011.
Born June 24, 1927 to Jacob and Mabel Morton in Atwood, Kansas. Some of her
favorite things in life were spending time with her family, bowling, knitting,
playing Bingo, going to Las Vegas, and having coffee with her friends was a fun
pastime. In her younger years she was involved in the local PTA and was an
Election Judge.
Those preceding her in death were her loving husband William Martin, her
parents, daughter Lynette Shearin, granddaughter Jana Ellis, and great
granddaughter Sarah Runzel, one brother and two sisters. Survivors are: daughter
Billie (Billy) Walker, son William T. (Paula) Martin, Jr. daughter Betty
(Robert) Basques, son James (Paula) Martin, daughter Mary (Barry) Warren and
numerous grand children, great grand children, and great-great grand children.
A visitation was from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 at Roselawn Funeral
Home in Seagoville.
Funeral Services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 in the Roselawn Funeral
Home with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
