DESOTO - A home-going celebration for Sharon Sternes will be held Friday, Jan.
14, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 7550 S.
Hampton Rd. in Dallas.
She passed away on Friday, Jan. 7 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was a School Board President in the DeSoto Board of Education and an
advocate for public education having served on the DeSoto Board of Education
since May 2002.
Her son Rainey, who graduated from DeSoto High School, is currently at Stephen
F. Austin and son Ryan is currently a junior at DHS.
Husband Kenneth Sternes, died last year from complications with an illness.
Her wake is set for Thursday, Jan. 13 from 6 - 6:45 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial
Chapel, 6449 University Hill Blvd in Dallas.
