FERRIS - Nannie Mae Duke, 74, of Ferris, passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at
Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lan-caster.
She was born in Campbell on Nov. 29, 1935, the daughter of the late Cha-rlie
Howard and Elsie Mae Olive Brown.
Nannie was a nurse for the Red Oak School District. She will be missed by all of
the lives she has touched.
Nannie is survived by three daughters Sandra and son-in-law John Epperson of
Ferris, Eva and son-in-law Thomas Williams of Ferris and Teresa Pruitt of
Ferris; brother Charles Tillman of Greenville; three sisters Linda Smith of
Hutchins, Kathrine Ussery of Dallas and Doris Berry of Texas; six grandchildren
and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd F. Pruitt in 1979 and her
husband Johnny Harrison Duke in 2010.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at Green Funeral Home
with Reverend Gary Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Ferris Memorial
Park North in Ferris with arrangements under the direction of Green Funeral
Home.
