RED OAK - Air Force Airman 1st Class James R. Mayes has graduated from the
Cryptologic Linguist Specialist Course at the Defense Language Institute,
Foreign Language Center, Presidio of Monterey in Monterey, Calif.
Mayes is a linguist assigned to the 314th Training Squadron at Presidio of
Monterey, Calif. He has served in the military for one year.
He is the son of Allison and Ronald Mayes of Phoenix, Ariz. His wife, Sarah S.
Mayes, is the daughter of Durango and Andrea L. Defrance of Red Oak. Mayes
received a bachelor’s degree in 2008 from Texas A&M University in College
Station.
