The Ellis County Press: Caitlin Orsak wins state title of Miss Texas Czech Slovak Queen 2012 Caitlin Orsak wins state title of Miss Texas Czech Slovak Queen 2012 ================================================================================ Editor on 05/31/2012 16:01:00 Elaine Gallagher Czech Heritage Society Reporter On Saturday, April 28, the Czech Heritage Society of Texas held their 10th annual Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen Pageant at the West KC Hall in West, Texas. Three young ladies vied for the title competing in private personal interviews, an on-stage interview, kroj modeling and a talent competition before three very qualified judges. Upon deliberation between the judges Caitlin Orsak, from Shiner, Texas was declared Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen 2012. As winner of this competition, Orsak won numerous prizes including a free trip to the Czech Republic. The Ellis County Czech Heritage Society was honored to have Orsak as our guest riding with Mr. Victor Pochobradsky, driving his Vintage 1966 Mercury Monterey in the Saturday, May 26 Polka Parade in Ennis. Saturday afternoon Orsak was presented at each of the Halls in Ennis…the KJT, the K of C and the Sokol and looks forward to meeting the visitors attending this great 46th Annual National Polka Festival in Ennis.
