WAXAHACHIE - Students at Shackelford Elementary participated in the Regional
Academic UIL competition in Ennis this past Saturday, Feb. 11.
Students who competed at the regional level include: Braxton Moon, Brady Moon,
Eric DeLore, Victor Irisson, Sarah Buchanan, Macy Reese, Elizabeth Etheridge,
Evan Taylor, Garrett Roux, Siarra Harris, Gus Millican, Kamryn  Bowling,
Gabriela Alvarenga and Caleb Powell.
The following students placed in the Academic competition: Garrett Roux, Sixth
place in Oral Reading; Sarah Buchanan, Third place in Music Memory; Elizabeth
Etheridge, Fourth place in Art; Caleb Powell, Second place in Listening; Evan
Taylor, Third place in Listening; Brady Moon, Fifth place in Number Sense; and
Macy Reese, Fourth place in Ready Writing and Fifth place in Art.
