The Ellis County Press: County to host passport fair this Saturday County to host passport fair this Saturday ================================================================================ Editor on 03/26/2010 10:05:00 MEGAN GRAY The Ellis County Press ELLIS COUNTY - Passport Day in the USA is a nationwide passport acceptance and outreach event to be held Saturday, March 27 in Waxahachie. U.S. citizens must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States by air. If entering the United States from Canada, Mex-ico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry U.S. citizens must present a passport book, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government. Ellis County District Clerk Melanie Reed is joining the Department of State to help provide passport information to U.S. citizens and to accept passport applications from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the district clerk's office located in the temporary courts building next to Tractor Supply. In order to complete your passport application, you must bring two professional passport photos, a certified copy (with a raised seal) of your birth certificate (which will be sent in with your application to the Dept. of State, but returned to you afterwards), a front and back copy of your valid ID, separate check or money order for each application and $25 cash or debit/credit card for each application.
