Ellis County Saturday, May 1 "Week-Long" Clean-up In our continuing effort to curtail illegal dumping in Ellis County, this year we will be offering a free "week-long" clean-up event. Starting Saturday, May 1 and running thru Saturday, May 8. Ellis County residents will be able to dispose of trash, furniture, mattresses, yard debris, and other similar items. We will also be accepting tires and e-waste. Details are still being finalized, so check the Ellis County official Web site www.ellis. co.tx.us for more information as we get closer to the date. Ennis Wednesday, March 10 MAAG Metting The MAAG will meet in the back parking lot of The First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10 for a trip to Rice where they will enjoy a Dutch lunch. They will stop at the Cowboy Church in Alma on their return for a tour of their building and to learn more about his growing church. Saturday, March 13 St. Patrick's Day Celebration The 2nd Annual Czech St. Patrick's Day Celebration will include live music by "Czech and Then Some" and "Ennis Czech Boys" on Saturday, March 13 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the KJT Hall, 1216 S. Paris St. in Ennis. Admission will be $7 for adults, ages 13 and under are free. Come Join in on the fun! Saturday, Mar. 20 Fish Fry Dinner Fish-fry Dinners will be served at the First United Methodist Church in Ennis from 5 - 7 p.m. in behalf of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute, and the Welcome Home - Ennis Honors Her Heroes Committee, which is planning a major event in Ennis in May Honoring Vietnam and all American Veterans lost in service to our Country. The dinner will be prepared by Ennis Fish Fry King, Mike Riley and his crew, it's a full meal deal!Thursday, May. 6 - Sunday, May 9 American Veterans Traveling Tribute The AVTT is a mobile group of memorials and exhibits - anchored by an 80% reproduction of the Vietnam Memorial Wall including all of the names on the American freedom as well as those who served their country from World War II through the current Iraqi conflict.
