Chapter 11 bankruptcy wont slow Logistics Hub

HUTCHINS - Despite Richard Allens bankruptcy filing on his massive Dallas
Logistics Hub, Inland Port development, the projects will go on.
The Allen Groups Chapter 11 filing, a reorganization to pay off creditors and
debt, won't slow the progress being made in the planned 7,500-acre land port in
Southeast Dallas County.
China Supply and Logistics, according to the _Dallas Morning News_, is close to
purchasing more than 1,000 acres in the Logistics Hub.
The investment would, according to court documents filed in the bankruptcy case,
pay off debts, fund operating expenses and help pay some of the Allen debt.
The Logistics Hub is primarily located in both Wilmer and Hutchins, with select
properties inside the Lancaster city limits.
Envisioned as the largest port on land that rivals Long Beach and Houston, the
Logistics Hub accommodates heavy diesel truck and cargo train traffic.
Recent expansion of Lancaster's airport and the planned Loop 9 toll road also
factor in making the Logistics Hub a catalyst for surrounding economic
development.
