The Ellis County Press: Glenn Heights holds National Night Out Glenn Heights holds National Night Out ================================================================================ Editor on 10/20/2011 11:25:00 Submitted by Glenn Heights Police Department GLENN HEIGHTS - The Glenn Heights National Night Out was held Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Heritage Park in Glenn Heights. The event featured entertainment by the EDUCT Pipes and Drums group, bounce houses, the famous Glenn Heights Police Department train ride and a children’s Petting Zoo. There was plenty of free food and drinks for all of those in attendance and free door prizes. Partners in attendance from the law enforcement community included the Dallas County and Ellis County Sheriff’s Departments. In addition, there were informational booths from Glenn Heights Crisis Services, Glenn Heights Municipal Court, the Glenn Heights Police Department, the Glenn Heights Fire Department, Healing Hearts, Keep Glenn Heights Beautiful, the Poison Control Center, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the North Texas Auto Theft Task Force. “It was a fun filled educational night where citizens and law enforcement were able to bond together in a fight against crime,” said Police Chief Mark Prasifka. Thanks goes out to all of the volunteers and city staff that made National Night Out 2011 such a memorable occasion. Also corporate partners who donated door prizes that were given away at National Night Out.
