The Ellis County Press: FHS opens homecoming parade to community FHS opens homecoming parade to community ================================================================================ Editor on 09/08/2011 16:41:00 FERRIS - Community organizations are encouraged to sign up for the Ferris High School Homecoming parade taking place Thursday, Sept. 15. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. in front of Ingram Elementary School. The parade route will go through the downtown square and end at the Ferris Independent School District Administration Building. Anyone interested in parade participation must call Chief Cory Morrison by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14. Morrison can be contacted at the high school at (972) 544-3737. FISD will host a community pep rally at the football stadium at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday after the parade. The Homecoming game will be at 7:30 p.m. the next night, Friday, Sept. 16, at 7:30 p.m. against Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill. “More people in the community need to come to our events,”said junior Sierra Amundson.
