San Antonio – The Junior Market Steers Show was held on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at
the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Amy L. Carrington of Ellis County 4-H received reserve Red Angus honors.
Grand Champion Angus honors were received by Kisean Oneal Callis of Fort Bend,
Texas. Callis is currently a member of the Fort Bend co. 4-H.
SALE has a rich tradition and history of stewardship to the community,
agriculture industry and youth of Texas. With a clear vision of the future, a
successful past and continual dedication from more htan 5,000 volunteers, SALE
will continue to provide wholesome family entertainment and be a pillar of
strength and support to the youth of Texas.
To date, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo educational commitment exceeds $105
million with a record $8.5million committed in 2010 in the form of scholarships,
grants, endowments, auction, calf scramble program and show premiums paid to
youth.
