MIDLOTHIAN - Jared L. Berman has been promoted to the rank of private first
class in the U.S. Army.
Berman is a signal support systems specialist assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat
Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood in Killeen.
He is the son of Jim Berman of Midlothian.
His wife, Autumn, is the daughter of Anita Piper of Midlothian.
The private first class graduated in 2005 from Arlington High School.
