The Ellis County Press: Campus' to reconfigure district Campus' to reconfigure district ================================================================================ Megan Gray on 11/26/2010 14:52:00 WAXAHACHIE - Due to current and future growth trends within the Waxahachie Independent School District, school administrators have recommended a plan to the WISD board of trustees to reconfigure the current district facilities for the 2011-2012 school year. The reconfiguration, as provided by the district, would be as follows: Marvin Elementary: Pre-Kindergarten and other Early Childhood Programs Clift Elementary: Kindergarten through Grade 5 Dunaway Elementary: Kindergarten through Grade 5; Bilingual Program Felty Elementary: Kindergarten through Grade 5 Northside Elementary: Kindergarten through Grade 5 Shackelford Elementary: Kindergarten through Grade 5 Wedgeworth Elementary: Kindergarten through Grade 5; Bilingual Program Finley Junior High: Grades 6-8 Howard Junior High: Grades 6-8 The district plans to host three community forums regarding the campus reconfiguration plan. Parents, students, employees and community members are invited to attend and provide their input at any or all three of the below mentioned dates. Thursday, Dec. 2 Center Cafeteria 265 Broadhead Road 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9 Clift Middle Waxahachie High School Fine Arts Center 1000 Highway 77 North 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6 Howard 8th Grade School Cafeteria 650 Park School House Road 7 p.m. Waxahachie ISD Superintendent Thomas J. Collins and Deputy Superintendent David Truitt will discuss the demographic data, reconfiguration plan, and short and long range plans for WISD.
