Road closures: Utility lines will be strung across highway at short intervals

PALMER - Intermittent closures of all main lanes and frontage road lanes on
Interstate Highway-45, near Palmer, will occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. both
Wednesday, Oct. 13 and Thursday, Oct. 14.
There will be a total of four complete closures no longer than 10 minutes each -
two on both days. According to Texas Department of Transportation, there will be
a planned two-hour period of time between each freeway closure.
Brazos Electric Cooperative will be pulling aerial transmission lines across the
highway necessitating the total lane closures.
Police and contractor crews will be present to assist with the closures and
message boards will be placed to alert the traffic of the closures.
