The Ellis County Press: District to host family dinner night District to host family dinner night ================================================================================ Megan Gray on 10/01/2010 11:53:00 MIDLOTHIAN - In effort to keep families spending time together in this ever fast moving world we call life, the Midlothian Independent School District will be hosting a "Family Dinner Night" on Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Midlothian High School cafeteria from 6-8 p.m. According to the news release sent out from the district, studies show the more often families eat together, the less likely kids are to smoke, drink, do drugs, get depressed, develop eating disorders and suicide and the more likely they are to do well in school, delay having intercourse, eat vegetables and know which fork to use. The goal of the event is to encourage families to continue to eat meals together. The event will include free food, a guest speaker and prizes. Families are encouraged to RSVP with the district as soon as possible.
