Monday, July 26 located at city hall at 6:30 p.m. council will decide on the EMS budget. In previous meetings, it has been reported by City Manager Eric Strong the contract to have CareFlite provide emergency 24/7 protection would cost $36,000 with an additional $10,000 for the utilities. Currently, the city is budgeted for more than $200,000 for the city to provide emergency service for 16 hours a day. Councilman Billy Don Dunn has said the savings, if contracted with CareFlite, would be able to better staff the fire department.
