MIDLOTHIAN - As expected, the Midlothian Panthers will compete in the University
Interscholastic Leagues largest classification, Class 5A, beginning in the fall.
The latest realignment, based on high school student population, lists Ellis
County and Southern Dallas County schools and was announced Feb. 1.
The realignments only apply to football and basketball. The UIL governs the
athletic and academic contests in the public school system across Texas.
