ECSO makes arrest in shooting incident

WAXAHACHIE - Remington Colt Hedgepeth, 18, was arrested for aggravated assault
with a deadly weapon in the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 30 by the
Ellis County Sheriff's Department.
An unidentified 23-year-old male from Duncanville was the victim of the shooting
at a residence in the 200 block of Grande Casa Road.
The victim was transported to Baylor Medical Center and then transferred to
another Dallas area hospital where he underwent surgery for injuries sustained
in the shooting.
He is expected to recover. Bond for Waxahachie resident Hedgepeth was set at
$20,000 by Justice of the Peace Linda Sibley where Hedgepeth subsequently posted
bond and was released.
Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is a second degree felony.
The case is still under ongoing investigation.
