EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION GETS DR DELPHINIUM TO DESIGN FLORAL FOR CARLTON
MARSHALL\'S HOME IN LANCASTER
DALLAS (Nov. 9, 2009) - ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition selected Dr.
Delphinium Designs & Events to provide the floral for the Marshall home in
Lancaster.
The home was renovated in late July for disabled Dallas police officer Carlton
Marshall and his family.  Marshall suffered injuries after being shot during a
raid in 2007 and could no longer navigate his Lancaster home.
A Dallas police SWAT crew demolished the old home, and in less than a week, more
than 2,000 volunteers and crew members of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition built a
spacious, wheelchair-accessible house for the family of four, according to The
Dallas Morning News.
"It Is an honor to be selected by the show and to help bring joy to the Marshall
family," said Charles Ingrum, owner and general manager of Dr Delphinium.
Dr Delphinium Designs & Events worked closely with designer Minh Nguyen on the
interior floral for the home, volunteering both the floral and numerous
man-hours for the project.

The Extreme Makeover Home Edition team took a "modern ranch" design approach to
the Marshall home - with rustic and modern structure and influences.  With that
in mind, Minh and his colleagues created arrangements with sunflowers,
driftwoods, giant succulents, persimmons, fruits on the vine, and red dahlias
for vibrancy.
"Strong color and form are very important to how we made our selections for the
Marshalls," said Minh.
"It was so exciting to arrive on the set and have the energy and creativity of
ideas generated right on the spot," said Minh.  "And wonderful to bring the
beauty of floral to the Marshall's home to add even more to the gift! Wow."
The Marshall home episode aired Sunday, Oct. 18 on the Dallas ABC affiliate,
WFAA-TV, Channel 8.
