Another Texas Top 10 Most Wanted in custody

Dennis Wayne Capps, who had been on the Texas Top 10 Most Wanted list since
March 2009, was apprehended in Nicaragua by U.S. Marshals on Oct. 22 after an
investigation by Texas DPS agents determined that he was in that country. He was
deported from Nicaragua on Oct. 24 and was taken to the Cameron County Jail in
Brownsville, Texas, on Oct. 27.
Capps had absconded after posting a $100,000 bond in connection with the June
10, 2006, murder of a 44-year-old man during a robbery. Capps faces a capital
murder charge in Cameron County.

Texas Crime Stoppers will give a $1,000 cash reward to any person who provides
information that leads to the arrest of one of these fugitives. Anyone with
information about the whereabouts of any of these fugitives should call
1-800-252-TIPS (8477). The Crime Stoppers hotline is open 24 hours a day. You do
not have to give your name when calling.
DPS urges caution around these fugitives. "Any fugitive should be considered
armed and dangerous," said Steven McCraw, director of the DPS. "You should never
attempt to apprehend these fugitives yourself."
If you know where a fugitive is hiding, you should immediately call 911.
