One-day closure will accommodate construction on I-35E
ELLIS COUNTY - Due to a project to rehabilitate mainlanes on I-35E south of
Waxahachie, the southbound Safety Rest Area one mile north of the City of 
Forreston in Southern Ellis County will be closed Monday, August 10, 2009 from 6
a.m. to 10 p.m.
The contractor, W.W. Webber, will be opening new ramps to the southbound rest
area and closing the temporary ramps currently being used. To facilitate this
switch, the rest area must be closed during daylight hours of that day.
This is part of a $62 million project that began in 2007 and is expected to be
complete by fall of 2010.
Message boards have been placed notifying the public of the closure for at least
seven days prior.
