CEDAR HILL - The Cedar Hill City Council was recently recognized by the Texas
City Management Association as the City Council of the Year.
The council was applauded for demonstrating "effective city government" to which
it serves its citizens.
Criteria for this award included demonstration of commitment to ethics,
placement of welfare of the citizenry above personal and political motives,
functioning as a policy-making body; support for prudent financial management,
support for professional development; maintaining a harmonious and supportive
relationship among councilmembers, demonstration of strong efforts in promoting
community awareness and positive community relations and leadership during the
past 12 months.
