Due to the current expansion project on Parks School House Road, one
intersection will be temporarily closed to facilitate the next phase of the
project.
Beginning Friday, July 10, 2009, the intersection at Carter Court and Parks
School House Road will be closed. The Carter Court intersection is scheduled to
be closed for approximately one month.
"Parks School House Road will remain open, this closure will temporarily effect
the intersections of Owen Way and Carter Court on Parks School House Road," said
Hollywood.
"Closing these entrances is necessary because there is a difference in grade in
the new road and the existing streets. This part of the project will ensure a
smooth grade transition from the new road to the existing ones," said Hollywood.
At completion, the Parks School House Road expansion project will be a four-lane
roadway, complete with medians, turning lanes and sidewalks. The target is
progressing on schedule and is due to be completed in late fall.
