The Ellis County Press: Waxahachie Chick-fil-A to Host Send-Off Celebration for Fallen Heroes Fundraising Walk Waxahachie Chick-fil-A to Host Send-Off Celebration for Fallen Heroes Fundraising Walk ================================================================================ Editor on 05/20/2009 16:47:00 WHAT: The Chick-fil-A(R) restaurant, located at 996 West Highway 287 Bypass, will host a send-off celebration in support of fallen servicemen and women on May 30 at 10 a.m. The event will kick off Walter R. E. Coleman's walk across the state to support his organization - Texas Fallen Heroes - and its mission to build a monument in Texas to honor American military personnel who gave their lives in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The restaurant will donate $1 per customer on May 30 to the organization and a donation jar will be set up if customers choose to make additional donations. Present at the send-off will be members from the Patriot Riders, Ellis County Honor Flight, the National Guard, Waxahachie Police Department and Waxahachie Fire Department. The community is invited to attend to wish Coleman well on his journey.
