Motorcyclist fatally shot

FERRIS -  Michael Owensby, 44, Ferris, was fatally shot April 10 while riding
his motorcycle on Farm Market Road 780 causing a one vehicle crash, according to
the Ellis County Sheriff's Office.
Texas Department of Public Safety officers arrived on the scene.
Lt. Jason Westmoreland, head of criminal investigations at the ECSO confirmed
they have guys on the field and will be continuing further investigation.
"Right now, I have 2 persons of interest, trying to locate them now," said
Westmoreland.
"Hammer" as his friends called him, had a heart of gold and more lifelong
friends and brothers than most people ever have.
Owensby was a former president and member  of the South Dallas Chapter of the
Scorpions Motorcycle Club.
